Contentfolks: Understanding the “Why” of Marketing

I never understood the value of Substacks until later in my marketing career. However, when I discovered them, I dove deep into understanding just how valuable these Substacks could be. I grew particularly fond of the Substack Contentfolks because of its innovative and straightforward nature.

At its foundation, Contentfolks is a Substack that provides readers with examples and innovative ways to change a marketing strategy. Instead of talking at you, this Substack works with you to give you logical insights on why a marketing strategy will work, or why and where it will fail.

This newsletter also helps you understand the “why” of marketing. Why do people respond to something? Why do they turn away from it? This has proven massively helpful in our marketing as now we can isolate viewer behavior and make something that an array of individuals will be drawn to.

The Social Media Examiner: Comprehensive Trend Updates

Many marketing-related Substacks are available, but a favorite is The Social Media Examiner. This is one of the best newsletters available that provides comprehensive information on all the popular trends. Businesses can’t grow if they aren’t up to date with the latest trends and tools available in the market.

The Social Media Examiner offers ways to use trends according to business needs. Subscribing to it has been one of the best business decisions because it’s a one-stop solution for getting information on what competitors are doing.

The newsletter is written interactively, making reading a dream. To enhance business growth, many articles need to be read. The Social Media Examiner helps find all the relevant links, eliminating the need to search elsewhere, and that’s why it’s one of my favorites.

Stratechery: Fusion of Tech, Strategy, and Marketing

Ben Thompson’s Stratechery is one of my favorite Substacks. It’s a newsletter on technology, and “strategy” is its popular name.

Business models, market trends, and industry dynamics are just a few of the technology-related issues that are carefully analyzed in the newsletter. This degree of study aids marketers in developing a more thorough understanding of the environment and of how it affects marketing efforts.

Thompson details how technology and business strategy interact, making it easy for marketers to keep up with the most recent technological developments and their effects on marketing.

Case studies and real-world examples of profitable (or unsuccessful) business strategies are included in Stratechery. These instances aid marketers in learning from the successes and failures of others.

Stratechery offers marketers a distinctive fusion of technology, corporate strategy, and marketing insights.
