Google Meet is better if you have many participants as it supports up to 100 people per meeting. It also has a better interface and is easy to use.
Zoom is better if you want to conduct a videoconference with just a few participants, as it allows you to have video calls with up to 15 people at a time. While Google Meet is a better tool if you are meeting with many people, Zoom shines more when you meet with fewer people.

Zoom for Better Audio and Video Features
Earlier, I was performing complimentary DJ sets and game shows to anyone down in the dumps with the pandemic. Zoom was my go-to platform because of the clarity of audio and quick ability to spotlight users.
Since then, Zoom has yet to be rivaled in how audio and video are received by the end user. It is still my preferred platform to date, despite being the resident DJ and host on retainer for both Airmeet and Cisco Webex!
In fact, Zoom now has a featured setting for Musicians in which audio limiters are disabled, plus stereo and hi-def effects can be added. I have performed over 550 virtual events using Zoom, so you know where my bias is.
Still, it’s difficult to say definitively which one is “better,” as it ultimately depends on your specific needs and preferences. Google has the name, but Zoom garnered me fame 🙂

Zoom offers an impressive assortment of video-related features and huge participant support. But, Google Meet comes with access to Google services with a workspace subscription.
On par with its competitor, Google meet also offers a tiled layout of participants and a huge range of video filters. What I like the most about it is the choice to present across Google platforms like Docs and Slides. It gives more options. In terms of safety, the meeting offers a locked control panel, similar to Zoom’s restriction of participants.
If you compare the pricing and integration across apps, both stand on the same footing. So, I would say, your priority matters when choosing a platform. If you only need video conferencing, go for Zoom. But, Meet works better with other Google apps. I prefer the latter.

Zoom for a Comprehensive Response to Hosting Needs
Zoom is better than Google Meet because of the additional conferencing features it offers. Both platforms provide a range of functionalities, such as screen sharing, audio and video conferencing, and the ability to host large meetings.
However, Zoom offers more advanced features, such as breakout rooms, the ability to record meetings, and support for large webinars. Some of these are unavailable at Google Meet, and you need to pay extra for some.
Besides, additional features like whiteboards, waiting rooms, and lighting filters are built in Zoom, while with Google Meet, you need to download Chrome extensions to get these.
Therefore, Zoom is responding more comprehensively to meetings and conference hosting needs. However, the decision to use Zoom instead of Google Meet should be based on the individual’s needs and budget capacity.
