I lead the technical go-to-market strategy for AI and machine learning solutions in the enterprise software space. On a day-to-day basis, my focus sits at the intersection of technology, business value, and execution. This involves working with engineering teams to understand what is technically possible, partnering with sales and field teams to translate that into real customer outcomes, and engaging directly with executives who are trying to operationalize AI responsibly.

A large part of my role involves separating signal from noise. Many organizations want AI, but fewer understand the data readiness, governance, and workflow changes required to make it successful. I spend significant time advising customers on architecture decisions, risk management, and ROI frameworks so that AI initiatives move from pilot to production without becoming expensive experiments.

Ultimately, my job is not just about deploying models; it is about helping enterprises adopt AI in ways that are scalable, measurable, and aligned with business strategy.

What pivotal experiences shaped your path to leading technical GTM for AI/ML in the software industry?

A few pivotal experiences shaped my path. Early in my career, I worked closely with enterprise customers navigating large-scale cloud transformations. That exposure taught me that technology decisions are rarely just technical; they are organizational, financial, and cultural shifts. Watching companies struggle with adoption despite having powerful tools made me realize that execution and change management matter as much as innovation.

Later, leading AI and data initiatives in customer-facing environments sharpened that perspective. I saw firsthand how machine learning can create measurable business impact when it is tied to clear operational metrics, and how quickly projects stall when teams underestimate data quality, governance, or workflow redesign.

Perhaps the most formative lesson has been working directly with executives who are accountable for results. It forced me to think beyond models and algorithms and focus instead on ROI, risk, and scalability. That mindset is what ultimately drew me into leading technical go-to-market efforts for AI and ML at the enterprise level.

When you build an AI strategy with true P&L discipline, what’s your go-to rule of thumb for tying a use case to unit economics?

When I build an AI strategy with real P&L discipline, my rule of thumb is simple: if you can’t express the use case in unit economics, you don’t deploy it.

That means translating “AI will improve experience” into something financially concrete, such as:

  • Revenue per customer interaction
  • Cost per transaction
  • Cost to serve per ticket or per account
  • Conversion rate per qualified lead
  • Margin impact per workflow automated

For example, in a service operation, I don’t ask whether an AI assistant is “helpful.” I ask: Does it reduce average handle time by 20%? Does it increase first contact resolution by 5%? Does that translate into fewer FTEs required per 10,000 tickets? If the math shows a measurable margin lift or cost avoidance within a defined time horizon, it moves forward.

A second filter I use is time to economic signal. If a use case cannot demonstrate early, directional ROI within one or two quarters, it is usually too abstract or too ambitious for initial deployment.

AI strategy should not start with models. It should start with unit economics. That discipline separates experimentation from value creation.

From a technical GTM perspective, how do you sequence market validation, pricing, and enablement so early customers realize value within the first 30–60 days?

From a technical GTM perspective, speed to value is everything. I sequence validation, pricing, and enablement around one principle: prove economic impact before expanding scope.

First, market validation has to move beyond “interest” to willingness to operationalize. I look for a customer who is ready to commit real data, real workflows, and executive sponsorship. If they will not assign an accountable business owner, it is not true validation.

Second, pricing should reflect time to value. For early customers, I prefer structured pilots tied to measurable outcomes rather than open-ended consumption. The goal in the first 30 to 60 days is not feature depth. It is one clear win, such as reducing manual review time by 30 percent or improving response rates by a defined margin.

Finally, enablement is front-loaded. Sales, solutions, and customer teams need tight messaging around one use case, not five. The biggest GTM mistake is overselling vision before proving utility.

When validation is disciplined, pricing is outcome-aware, and enablement is focused, early customers see tangible value quickly, and expansion becomes a natural next step rather than a forced upsell.

What is your playbook for creating a production-like evaluation set that captures long‑tail edge cases without slowing release timelines?

My playbook starts with one principle: evaluation should reflect business reality, not just model accuracy.

Rather than trying to enumerate every possible edge case, I focus on identifying categories of failure that would materially impact users or the business. Long-tail scenarios are prioritized based on consequence, not frequency. Rare events that carry high downside risk deserve disproportionate attention.

I also treat evaluation as an evolving asset. Edge cases are continuously incorporated based on real-world usage patterns, structured testing, and domain expert feedback. The goal is to ensure the model is improving against meaningful stress conditions over time.

To avoid slowing releases, I separate evaluation into fast automated checks for regression and deeper scenario-based reviews at key milestones. This allows teams to maintain velocity while steadily increasing robustness.

At a strategic level, strong evaluation isn’t about catching every edge case upfront. It’s about building a disciplined feedback loop that compounds reliability with every iteration.

As a multi‑instrumentalist, how do you ‘orchestrate’ sales, product, data, and compliance teams to land AI with customers and sustain adoption post‑launch?

I think of AI programs the way I think of a band. Everyone can be talented, but without arrangement, timing, and shared intent, it’s just noise.

Sales sets the tempo. They bring the real customer problem and commercial urgency. Product defines the structure: what are we actually building, and for whom? Data ensures we are in tune with reality. Are we measuring the right signals, and do we have the instrumentation to prove value? Compliance protects the rhythm; they make sure we can scale safely without introducing risk that derails adoption later.

My role is conductor, not soloist. I align everyone around one shared score: a clearly defined business outcome with leading and lagging metrics tied to it. Before launch, we agree on what success looks like in 30, 60, and 90 days. After launch, we meet on a tight cadence to review telemetry, user behavior, and risk posture together rather than in silos.

The key to sustaining adoption is shared ownership. If product owns features, sales owns revenue, data owns dashboards, and compliance owns risk in isolation, adoption stalls. But when all four co-own measurable customer outcomes, AI stops being a project and becomes part of the operating model.

What single adjustment should technical GTM teams make now to prepare for the most important AI trend you see over the next 12 months?

If I had to pick one adjustment, it would be this: shift from demoing model intelligence to proving operational impact.

Over the next 12 months, the most important AI trend will not be bigger models or new benchmarks. It will be AI embedded inside real workflows with measurable business accountability. Agentic systems, copilots, and automation layers will only succeed if they can reliably change throughput, cost structure, or revenue velocity. Technical GTM teams that are still focusing on model capabilities will struggle. The teams that lead with workflow redesign and outcome instrumentation will prevail.

Concretely, that means every AI use case should be delivered with three things from day one:

  • a clearly defined business KPI,
  • a baseline measurement,
  • a telemetry plan that ties model behavior to economic results.

If you cannot quantify how a feature affects cycle time, error rate, conversion, or cost per transaction, you are not ready to scale it.

The adjustment is subtle but powerful. Stop asking, “How smart is the model?” Start asking, “What line item does this move?”

We are entering a phase where AI maturity will be defined less by model capability and more by leadership discipline. There is also a cultural component that often gets overlooked. Teams need psychological safety to experiment, but they also need economic clarity about what success looks like. When those two forces are balanced, AI initiatives move from isolated pilots to durable systems that compound value over time.
