Building visibility and establishing credibility with the media can be challenging.

That’s why we’re launching Featured Pages — a professional landing page for experts to manage their personal brand and connect with journalists.

What Is a Featured Page?

Your Featured Page showcases your expertise and boosts your visibility among journalists and publishers who use Featured.com. It your thought leadership profile – designed to help the media discover who you are, what you specialize in, and how you should be attributed in articles.

Featured Page

You have full control over what appears on your Page. While your Page is visible to all signed-in users by default, you can choose whether it’s discoverable by search engines (set to “private” by default) and opt-in or out of being contacted by journalists.

Benefits of Having a Featured Page

  • Manage Your Personal Brand: Control how you present yourself to the media by adding your best placements, credentials, and qualifications. An organized Page helps journalists quickly grasp your professional expertise.
  • Be Discovered by the Media: Journalists frequently use Featured to find experts. Keeping your Page up to date ensures that you’re visible for stories relevant to your expertise. A polished Page increases your chances of being featured.
  • Showcase Thought Leadership: Display articles you’ve been featured in directly on your Page. This visibility reinforces your credibility and opens more opportunities to be included in future stories.

How to Create a Great Featured Page

Here are a few tips to make your Page stand out:

  • Add a Professional Headshot: A high-quality headshot enhances your credibility and gives journalists flexibility in how they feature you. Choose a photo that represents your personal brand.
  • Craft an Engaging Headline: By default, your headline is set as your job title and company. However, you can edit it to highlight your expertise or add a personal touch that appeals to journalists.
  • Write a Compelling Summary: Use your “About” section to convey why journalists should consider featuring you. Feel free to adapt content from other profiles, like LinkedIn, for consistency.
  • Add Pronouns: This ensures that you are properly referenced in articles.
  • Include Articles and Media Mentions: Featured automatically displays your most prominent media mentions, but you can manually add URLs to other articles, blog posts, videos, or podcasts to further showcase your work.
  • List Education and Location: Including your education and location is crucial, especially if journalists are looking for local experts or specific credentials.
  • Specify Your Areas of Expertise: Tagging relevant topics makes it easier for journalists to find you in their searches.
  • Keep Contact Information Up-to-Date: Ensure journalists can reach you to confirm details or gauge your interest in a story.
