Not everyone gets the microphone to share their knowledge. That’s why we decided to launch Interview Profiles: to give everyone an outlet to share their expertise.

Interview Profiles is a new product that enables you to highlight your expertise and accomplishments through engaging interview formats. Leveraging AI to ask questions that are interesting and insightful for both an expert and a publisher, Interview Profiles allow experts to conduct and submit full-length Q&A interviews for publication consideration.

Here’s how Interview Profiles work:

  • Experts input a topic they’d like to be interviewed about.
  • Experts select a publisher that covers that topic.
  • Experts submit answers to interview questions in a text-based format, and submit to the Publisher for publication consideration.
  • Publisher publishes the interview, and Expert is notified that their interview profile has been published.

How do I opt-in to receive Interview Profiles as a Publisher?

Here’s how to opt-in to receive Interview Profiles:

  • Sign up for Featured and go to Interviews.
  • Enter your request.
  • When you have a new interview profile pitch, you’ll receive an email and the interview will appear on your dashboard to “claim” as well.

How do I submit an Interview Profile as an Expert?

Currently, Interview Profiles is in beta and is only available as part of Featured’s “Business” plan for Experts. To learn more about Featured’s Business plan, please review our pricing page.

How do I “claim” an Interview Profile as a Publisher?

A Publisher can “claim” an Interview Profile (so that the interview is unique to their site). If a Publisher claims an interview, they have 48 hours to either publish the interview or add an estimated publication date before the interview can be claimed by another Publisher. If they do not publish the interview or add an estimated publication date, then the interview will be made available to other Publishers to claim.

What are the chances that an interview will be featured by a Publisher?

We typically see an 90% success rate of an interview profile resulting in publication. Featured reviews every interview for quality before it is pitched to a Publisher, and uses AI to effectively match interviews with relevant Publishers. Through this process, we ensure that most interviews submitted will be featured in a profile.

Will I get a byline or link for the interview?

Every publisher is different and has their own set of editorial guidelines. In most cases, publishers will start off an interview with something like:

“This is an interview with Brett Farmiloe, founder and CEO of Featured.com.

To help set proper expectations for experts, Featured does try to disclose how a Publisher may attribute an expert in an article when an expert can select a publication to interview with.

Please note that you cannot buy an interview profile or links through Featured.com.

How often can I submit an Interview Profile?

Experts are able to submit one interview per profile when the interview is in the “In Review” process.

Please allow up to ten business days to review the interview. You can track the submission status using the track my article dashboard, and you’ll be able to submit your next interview once the interview has either been “selected” or “not selected” for publication.
